There was nothing shoulder to shoulder about the Cooke on Savard hit.

 

Unless Savard is part of a new species that houses their shoulder on top of their head, no such thing happened.

 

If you are saying it is shoulder to shoulder there are a few reasons why it's possible you have this belief.

A) Blind
B) Penguins fan but even this answer is odd since I know a couple Penguin fans that say this is indeed a bad shoulder to dome hit.
C) Trolling

And for B. Lets remember that many Penguins fans call it a bad hit along with one of his own teammates.

 

I've looked at the hit many many many times and don't listen to any hockey analysts. Why, you might ask? Because I live in the USA and we dont have hockey analysts. I'm not trying to "hang" the guy because of a youtube video. The man has numerous videos out there that shows what kind of player he is. This was a hit where he had more than enough time to body him but looked like he went out of the way to put his shoulder to savards head.

I'm not even going to get started on the NHL's suspension decisions. Anyone that has watched NHL hockey for years and years knows there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to their suspensions. One guy will get 2-4 games for one hit while the next guy will do the same hit and receive nothing at all. I truly think that the powers that be battle it out in a game of darts to see what suspension they land on.

Yes you did a nice job showing a picture that happened a full second before actual contact lol. FAIL, in that aspect but it was a very nice attempt at making the hit seem good. I wasn't going to comment further on this because I knew it would lead to time being wasted but I just had to show picture proof. Crazy me.

But that was a dirty ass hit, and it was shoulder to head. I do not think the NHL should have suspended him for the hit, they did not have rules in place to suspend such a hit and now they do.

I do think that an NHL player should take justice in their own hands and beat the ungodly SH*IT out of cookie.
