Research Paper Ideas

I have to write a senior paper for english class that's a minimum of 5 pages. I want it to be revolved around the NHL or hockey, but I could see myself doing another sport as well. I just need a good topic I can roll with. I was thinking something like why the NHL needs to expand to Canada more (or reach a TV Contract with ESPN).


Any good ideas guys?

 

I wrote a paper a few years ago on Steroid use in baseball, and the resulting hall of fame votes. Mostly why those players should never be inducted etc. Just a thought if you change the sport.

I think a paper comparing the pre-NHL lockout to the post lockout and how popularity is rapidly growing in the USA would be cool. I also think you could incorporate your idea of how important it would be to the NHL to strike a deal with ESPN.
