It might be a reality: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/story/2011/05/20/mb-jets-thrashers-reax-winnipeg.html?ref=rss http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=366293 If it happens, i wonder how they will change up the divisions.
Its no shocker detroit wants to move back to eastern conference. Everyone knows it wont happen tho unfortunately, it would be cool to see detroit and toronto in the same division.
Nashville makes the most sense, as they could easily take the slot from Atlanta and just join the southeast.
lol Ya, if there is one thing our division needs, is another triple-a team in it lol That would be like adding the Philly flyers to baseballs American League east!
If the NHL wants to make the talent exchange between conferences somewhat equal...I would say move Columbus to the east. Detroit, Nashville, and Columbus are the only 3 teams geographically that would make sense, and Columbus' talent level during the 2011-2012 season will be around the same as Winnipeg's(unless one of the teams make some big moves). Detroit would win even more games in the East than they already do in the West, and Nashville would beat up(literally) most of the Southeastern Division teams(all 4 of the remaining teams rely more on skill than grit/grinding). That's only my opinion...but the most realistic candidates are Nashville and Columbus.
