Money has no limits, see Boggs, Clemens. Hopefully Damon will follow them with a ring or two as well!

I just cant wait for the day when there is a salary cap in baseball.

That way I can root for my Red Sox without being called a sellout (people believe I root for them since they are a top paid team).

This is my biggest complaint with no salary cap. I am tired of seeing this crap. I hope the Fenway faithful boo him off the field when he returns to Boston.

Hey... There are some exceptions more in Baseball and Basketball.. But no real teams that are the same year end and year out... That's what im saying..

Can you imagine Stevie Y and Modano playing for other teams...

Steinbrenner is just one owner, i dont know how much "pull" he has, he can be outvoted by 29 other owners.

There wont be a salary cap because the union is too strong.

  THE MIGHTY DOLLAR

Can you blame him? 52 million over 4 years.... That's alot of trips to the waffle house. That's over a million a month for basically 9 months of "work" a year. God bless him!

Eventually once Steinbrenner croaks, the same thing that happened to the NHL last year will happen to the MLB.

Yes, it is possible for Steinbrenner to die.

Maybe with all that cash Damon can afford to cut the lettuce! He looks like a freakin' girl with all of that hair.

To be honest the whole Red Sox v. Yankees bit is getting tired. Why don't they all get out on the field and just beat the tar out of each other. Maybe then we can crown the true winner.

    LAME!

He looks like Bellhorn! The Yankees will not win the World Series with Damon because the Yankees pitching is so-so.

Pitching is the key to win World Series.
