shootouts don't decide playoff games for a reason. for regular season purposes i see no reason why anybody would rather see a game end in a tie. either way you still get your 1 point.

Lets not fight s11.... I'll put my best foot forward on this post.

You must be excited for the caps, haven't seen a team so strong probably since 2001 avalanche. Not to say the caps are as strong as the 2001 avalanche i'm not going that far.

BUT... caps are looking fantastic. I actually predicted them to win the cup early in the season which may surprise you.

i'm not fighting .... its ok to disagree on stuff i.e. shootouts

but yes the caps do look strong. only concern right now is if the goaltending is solid enough to win close games...and there will be plenty of close games.

i'm hoping we run into the pens in the east finals so we can get some revenge, we looked dominant over them in the season series

Hopefully with any luck it will be in the easy finals.

The goaltending would not be my #1 concert, it isnt that bad. The defense is however their weakness. Forwards and defensmen are not very responsible defensively. Shultz holds down the fort pretty good, but he can only bail out Green for so long.

thats funny you say that. i think shultz is pretty worthless. only reason he has a good plus minus is because of playing with mike green

They complitment each other quite well. Shultz is useless offensively, but he has an amazing active stick and is your best defensmen. Mike Green is a 4th forward, high octane offensive defensmen but incredibly awful defensively. Shultz is among the best defensive defesmen in the game.

Among the best meaning top 10.

In the role of strickly defensive defensmen. Shultz is a mad man, that stick of his is so active and he plays the body amazingly in the zone.

well speaking on behalf of most caps fans, we think shultz is pretty ****ty defensively too. the image of him getting walked by i think it was dubinsky or calahan game 1 vs. rangers last year is burned into my memory. shultz was scratched for the rest of playoffs....

Yeah last year he wasn't half the defensmen he develped into this year. Make it a point tonight to keep your eye on shultz.

i kept my eye on shultz and saw him almost fall down while trying to pivot and skate backwards...seems like he should already know how to do that by now.
