I actually felt the comments on racism were directed towards me when I stated I had some problems with Italians in my city. I can only speak from experience. I know in every culture there is good and bad. I think the annoying part was the way the comments by GM and Socal were made it was like they had gotten together and compared us to the racism going on in the world cup. I didn't bother commenting until now but it kind of irked me a bit too admittedly. My life has been so multicultural I can only laugh it off.

Ok, my apologies to anyone that felt comments were directed towards them. If you go back and read my post I didn't mention the word racism or racists or anything that even comes close to it. I also didn't direct it towards anybody. I thought the thread was ready to take a turn towards something that is not needed. NY asked why do people hate the Italian soccer team and the responses were about everything except a reason why they hate this specific team. Now you all may notice by his avatar that NY is of Italian decent. Ever think he would have taken offense to your posts? My father is Italian and I was offended. So instead of letting it escalate I just posted that we should get back to talking soccer. Not talk about the people in your city you don't like that happen to have parents from Italy or Mussolini's reign or why cannolis are bad for your health. Think of the uproar it would have been if someone posted something about hating Canadians in the post about NHL free agent signings. It would be irrelevant to the subject and also get more then a few people mad. So can we drop this?

I agree, I'm sorry if anybody was offended by my comments, but I pointed them at nobody in particular.

Anyway, france to win the cup, with zidane hoisting the trophy another time, and also getting the gold ball.

The third game should be a good one, I would like to see germany win, but portugal winning would be cool so we don't all ahev to watch little Rons crying his eyes out.

World cup is every 4 years and making it to the final is something to celebrate as the tournament started with 32 teams and to finish top 2 in the world is a thing to celebrate.

Bloody brilliant performance by Schweinstegger today, involved in all 3 goals, including scoring 2 of them.

Portugal got the constollation goal, but I didn't get to see Ronaldo crying, he did look very frusturated around the 80th minute though when he couldn't get anything in behind Kahn. Speaking of Kahn, he played great, was good to see him involved in Germany's success.

Only 18 more hours until the brilliance hits us, I'm excited. Will wake up, and this will be the only time you will ever see me wear a french uniform...(zidane).

No bandwagon jumper, I buy a french zidane kit everytime that the new ones are released, he's my favourite player.
