Wow, VA still can't post anything productive

And zizou with the game's opener, didn't look like it went in in real motion, but a good start for les blues none the less, only another 75+ minutes now, and then they will hopefully have the cup back in Paris.

Not the best call to get the pk, but Florent did sell it quite well.

That is the worst way to end a final

France outplayed Italy for most of the game. The game was much better than the way it ended.

That was horrible. Almost changed who I was rooting for to be honest. I'm a big supporter for playing with "class" and that was beyond ridiculous. I don't care what the other guy said, his reaction wasn't justified.

That hit was cheap. Especially from a great player. France did not have a chance with 3 of their best players out of the SO.

That was the most selfish act by a star in a big game I have ever seen and in any sport. Italy was exhausted and in a defensive shell since around the 75th minute. They were just trying to hang on for PK's. He lost the Cup for France. Also, Henry should have never been taken out of that game at anytime, just a bad move. And Trezeguet and Buffon were teammates on Juventus so I think Trez was trying to be too fancy with his kick. But in the end Italy deserved it. They kept their composure even when they were put behind early by a bad call. I just wonder why they lost their stamina.

FORZA AZZURRI 4 TIME CHAMPS not the best way to win it but after 94 when we lost in shootout this was nice to win but honestly i hate the penalty kicks they gotta bring in the Golden Goal. I admit italy didn't play well but eh in the past when they did they were the ones on the losing end as well so i guess it works both ways anyhow i hope Cannavaro gets the golden ball as he was unbelievable this tournamet. And for Zidane i have no comment for a gutless act how can u be a captain and hurt your team like that maybe he shouldn't of return. Brutal way to end a carreer anyhow were the 4 time champions woohooooo what a party in toronto hopefully i get some pics posted on here once i get them. FORZA ITALIA this will probably be there last world cup for awhile now next european team to win will be Germany mark my words not at the 2010 world cup though but at the 2014 world cup.
The event we waited for 4years as gone in 1 month what a great tournament we've seen some nice goals, brutal reffing, selfish plays and also seen some amazing saves. Another 4 year wait damit LOL.

Zidane won Golden Ball, beating Cannavaro by less than 40 votes. 2,012 to 1,977.

that is total disgrace Cannavaro should of got it what zidane did should of disqualified him from that award. If i don't recall for the best young player award C.Rinaldo had more votes but they gave it to L.Podolski of germany cause of Rinaldo on field behaviour. They should of done the same to zidane what he did was a disgrace to the game and a disgrace to french soccer.

Guys talk trash and try to provoke their opponent in every sport. Sports are mental and much as physical. A veteran knows this. Come on, Dennis Rodman made a career of getting under guys skin. He made Malone flip out on him by grabbing his ass because he knew Malone was a homophobe. It's gamesmanship.
